WINEMAKER’S NOTES

2015 is being widely reported as one of the highest quality vintages in Oregon’s history. It was a very warm growing season, ending with a cool September just in time for harvest. We had all our Pinot Noir for Toil Oregon harvested before a single berry for FIGGINS and most of the Cabernet for Leonetti. We may never see that again.

Incredibly dark for Pinot Noir, the color indicates both the depth and the purity of the flavor. This wine exudes a glorious nose of graham cracker, rose petals, dried raspberries, fresh blueberries, and black cherry. The tannins are wonderfully fine-grained and the length is impressive with a beautiful streak of refreshing acidity. The long and juicy finish lingers with fruitful finesse. I’m extremely proud of our third release!! | PRINT |
