WINEMAKER’S NOTES
What an amazing vintage in Willamette. Fantastic dark color. Classic Willamette Valley nose of strawberry and raspberry with notes of black tea and dry fall leaves. It reminds me of when I was a kid and the first fall winds would blow the leaves from the original vines on the Leonetti property into my parents’ yard. When tasked with raking them, I simply loved picking up a handful and crushing the frosted, brittle leaves in my hands. A mesmerizing aroma! The wine has a gorgeous velvet palate with long, dense fruit and a flawless, refreshing finish. This vintage rivals the 2015 as one of my favorite vintages of Toil Oregon Pinot Noir! | PRINT |
